David Frood

Author of "The Thinking Corporation"

My message for corporations is simple:

"Harness the talent within or start cutting costs!"

This book is pure, original, creative thought resulting from 10,000 hours spent inside corporations, understanding the systems and people that give them their culture and make organizations behave the way they do.

" He has the presentation and motivational skills I have observed in Tony Blair and Bill Clinton" - Ray Duffy, CEO Rentequip

David wrote The Thinking Corporation in 2007 after implementing change management in large corporations as an external consultant for the previous sixteen years. The book has since been translated into a corporate change program that directly addresses the capacity of an organization to create profitable growth through innovation.

During his consulting career he worked with organizations such as Diageo, HP, Qantas, Commonwealth Bank, Reckitt Benckiser and Daikin Air-conditioning. David made a study out of the reasons why employees do not tell their employers ideas about new products, markets and improvements to process. He discovered that it came down to three main reasons:

1. Someone else in the organization might steal the idea

2. They would receive little or no compensation

3. Their job security could be at risk

All of these issues are addressed both within the book and by implementing the corporate change program.

"The Thinking Corporation provides an insight into a corporation and it most import asset - its people." - Ray Smith, Managing Director ECO2 Forests Inc.

After investigating the difficulties many entrepreneurs have with finding capital and trustworthy business relationships he has connected the needs of entrepreneurs with the strengths of big business and found the solution to developing a much easier route to market for entrepreneurs and inventors. The Thinking Corporation Change Program provides the changes in culture, policy and process for corporations to:

  • Capture, process and implement employee generated ideas and
  • Be the ultimate route to market for external entrepreneurs and inventors

"We are now entering the age of the employee" - "The Thinking Corporation" by David Frood

It became clear that there is a much better way to manage people by designing a company that is capable of harnessing the talent from within the ranks as well as external entrepreneurs and inventors.

"You get a real feeling of empathy that makes it feel as though he is communicating just to you" - Chris Murray, Director Integrated Glass and Aluminum

David is now the Chief Executive Officer of The Thinking Corporation, an organization that is devoted to bringing about significant change to corporate culture and behavior that is of benefit to the corporations, customers, employees, entrepreneurs, inventors and all of us. The program is delivered by the client's consulting firm of choice after being accredited by The Thinking Corporation.

David speaks about how to:

  • Create an organization where "Corporate Thinking" and "Employee Thinking" are aligned. This provides a rich environment to increase productivity and develop new ideas.
  • Develop an understanding of how corporations can learn from nature and implement changes to enable people to interact internally and with customers in a more friendly, relaxed and genuine manner.
  • Learn about the immense impact of trust on employee productivity and their desire to add value and introduce new ideas.
  • Compare your organization to "The Thinking Corporation" organization structure where all people are either directly related to producing income or supporting people who are.

'Once an organisation has made this transition it no longer views results as being capped' - from "The Thinking Corporation" by David Frood

  • Learn why the most important attribute a manager can have is the ability to facilitate outcomes from either individuals or groups and how this skill alone could prove to be the difference in market performance between corporations in the same industry.
  • Investigate the many different ways that innovation can and should be rewarded.

"The thinking corporation has no barriers to individual success!" - "The Thinking Corporation" by David Frood

  • Discover how your brand could be used to develop new markets.

"He is an engaging speaker who forces the audience to think. Now that I have read his latest book I believe audiences are in for a treat as David asks us to consider the future role of corporations. - Jeff Richardson, State Manager Bacardi Lion

Becoming " A Thinking Corporation" answers the question - where will growth come from?

Witness how the implementation of "Innovation Centers" can transform your organization into an idea generating machine with the capacity to bring new ideas to market quickly and efficiently.

"The Thinking Corporation" is a commonsense overview of today's ever evolving corporate culture. It highlights the growing need to harness the power of the individual's personal needs & their ability to positively contribute to organizational value within today's business world." - Rick Morgan, General Manager Lynch Group

Large scale change in business practice comes around about every 30-50 years. The Thinking Corporation is the next major change and it's here right now. Be an early adopter, lead this change and generate benefits to the corporation, employees, our economy, lifestyle and environment.
