His company's focus is on Positive Psychology applied to people and corporations. Positive Psychology, contrary to terms like "motivation", "self-esteem", is considered science by studies developed by the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University. Claudemir's PhD (dissertation phase) is focused on this exciting field of Positive Psychology.
He has extensive experience in the corporate world in companies like American Airlines, United Airlines and The Walt Disney Company, and he is very grateful to all of them. In 1995, he started up the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts division in Brazil, and in 2000, he was invited to join the international team in Orlando, Florida, where he was responsible for global training strategies for Walt Disney World Resort (Florida), Disneyland Resort (California), Disneyland Resort Paris (France), and Disney Cruise Line. He was also a professor at Disney University and guest speaker at Disney Institute programs. In his career in sales, training, and marketing, Claudemir has trained over 200.000 people from Latin America, Europe and Asia.
In Brazil, he has undergraduation in Journalism (Cásper Líbero), a master's degree in Communication (ESPM) and another one in Marketing (ESPM). In The United States, where he lives, Claudemir has a Master of Science (M.S.) by Stetson University and he is in the dissertation phase for his PhD at Barry University. He also has primary certification in REBT (Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy), by Albert Ellis Institute, New York. Additionally, he obtained certification in Play Therapy by University of Central Florida (UCF), and he is an active member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), American Psychological Association (APA), and International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA).
Claudemir has presented in many conferences, including the most prestigious American Psychological Association (APA) with the topic "Corporations Need Psychotherapy", and has published at the prestigious journal "Counseling Today" from American Counseling Association (ACA). Claudemir has lifetime membership with Harvard Medical School PostGraduate Association, where he takes regular courses on the field of psychology and positive psychology.
Claudemir has published articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish. He is the story author of the award winning short "Once Not Far From Home" starring Erik Per Sullivan (Malcolm in the Middle, Unfaithful) and Skye McCole Bartusiak (The Cider House Rules, Patriot, Don't Say a Word). At the moment, he is in negotiation to publish two books: Seeds of Dreams (On Positive Psychology), and "Without Chemistry, there is no Physics" (Positive Psychology on relationships), both in Portuguese.
