His most recent record production and eighth unreleased album titled "8", was produced by the Swedish producer and composer Martin Terefe, winner of mulitple GRAMMY's and recorded live in the famous Kensaltown studio (London) while the mastering was carried out at the mythical Abbey Road Studios in London. SInce its debut album in #1 in more than nine countries, "8" became another success in the extraordinary artistic career of LUIS FONSI, thanks to songs like "Corazon en la Maleta", "Llegaste Tu" and "Que quieres of me", with which he occupied the first places of popularity nationally and internationally.
In 2015 and 2016, Fonsi toured the most important stages of Latin America with his successful tour "Somos Uno Tour" as well as being part of "The Voice Chile" as one of the cars.
Along with his tour and his stellar participation in television, Luis Fonsi dedicated himself to find the new direction of his ninth album and to compose the new songs that will make it up. The first single titled "Despacito" by Fonsi and released on January 13, 2017, reaching position # 1 in more than 89 countries.
Since then, it has become the theme of the year, breaking all records of both streaming and sales, ranking at # 1 on the award-winning Billboard Hot 100 for 16 weeks and remaining top 3 after nine months of its launch.
